If you find that some profiles or parts of the profile seem to run slow, there is a switch that turns off a backup of the log file.

In most versions of TILE!7 there is a Backup created each time you open a profile. This way if something happens while you're working on it, you can return to the last good version. The Backup can be found in the at the bottom of the 'File' menu. The Backup files are stored in a user location such as: C:\Users\jwtannehill\AppData\Local\Tile\backup.

The backup of the log file is only used for debug so unless your haveing problems it should be OK to turn it off.

To turn off in TILE!, go to Tools->Options->Backups->Auto Backup Log

In the Documents section of this site, there is a demo (User Peaks) that shows how to use the point selection feature that has been added to TILE!  Use version 7.0.16.777 or newer.
Early versions will require you to create a blank text file called newgraph.txt and place it in the Tile7 root folder.

This feature can also be used to select spans that you want to zoom into for trouble shooting.

There are many new improvements in the latest release of TILE 7 and this should be downloaded by all customers as soon as possible.

NOTE: We have found a way to change our HASP keys to allow remote control (from one computer to another). If you need this feature, send an email to tilesupport@ets-lindgren.com to discuss this.

TILE 7 is now officially released as the primary version. It has had many months of testing both in house and in the field. We are very excited to get this into your hands and we are ready to support you as you roll it out. Thank you to all of our beta testers for the feedback.

TILE! 7 will have a new driver for Tektronix scopes.  It should work with all versions and will have channel and parameter selections.  The parameters will cover almost anyrhing the scope can measure.

This should make this line of scopes more versatile and easier to used.

I have just added a sample profile using the sequencer and scripting available in version 7.  For those of you that have been brave enough to beta test version 7, grab that profile called ‘loops – scripting –sequencer’ from the Documents section and have at it and do some exploring into the new features.

The latest release of TILE! 6.0.2.309 un-leashes the sweep time and measurement time used by spectrum analyzers and receivers.  This is a major update that will allow you to specify any sweep time or measurement time instead of having to use the 'pull-down' selection.  There is also a selection for 'Auto'.

For our DoD users this allows the proper selection or 15mS instead of 20mS that is called out in the standards.  Like before, you can easily select a setting that is too fast that will create an 'Un-cal' condition that you will have to watch for.

Please load the latest version and save some time!

This is a notification to let you know that we have recently added some new documents to the support site that you may find helpful.  One document will help you determine how many ranges you need depending on your spectrum analyzer point resolution, another describes how to use the versatile NI DAQ interface.  Since newer instruments are using LAN  and USB connections, we have instructions on how to set those up to use with TILE!

If you've been overlooking the 'Documents' section, please have a look when you get a chance.  Also let us know if there is something else you would like to see there.
