Backup EMQuest Files/settings

List of files to save for EMQuest as backups or to move to new PC: • Using the File Explorer, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\ETS-Lindgren\EMQuest • Save the file "EMQuest.ini", which has your EMQuest options file, folder overrides, etc. • C:\Program Files (x86)\ETS-Lindgren\EMQuest\Equipment\Configurations • Save all Equipment configuration files (.ecf). • C:\Program Files (x86)\ETS-Lindgren\EMQuest\Parameters • Save all test parameter files (.prm). • C:\Program Files (x86)\ETS-Lindgren\EMQuest\Raw Data • Backup all raw data files (.raw). • Save the history file "CalibrationHistory.DBF". • C:\Program Files (x86)\ETS-Lindgren\EMQuest\Final Data • Save the Final data raw pattern files, calibration files, etc. • C:\Program Files (x86)\ETS-Lindgren\EMQuest\Logs • Save all Equipment logs (useful, usually not critical) • C:\Program Files (x86)\ETS-Lindgren\EMQuest\Templates • Save the EMQuest document editor/ template files

Combine EMQuest Data Files

To open the Data File Combination Tool, select Combine Data Files from the EMQuest Tools menu. For example, select “Concatenate frequency dependent data from multiple files of identical format”, and then use Browse to select the files to add to the list. Double check the files you wish to combine are checked and then click the 'Combine' button. The combined file will display and give the option to save the combined file.

Enable EMQuest ClenshawCurtis

1. On the Tools menu, select “Options…” 2. Under the preferences tab, and the section “Data acquisition”, you will see the global option to “Use Clenshaw Curtis post-processing algorithm”. Check this box and click okay to activate the feature.

Enable EMQuest Debug Logging

1. On the Tools menu, select “Enable Debug Menu”. This shows the Debug option on the menu. 2. On the Debug menu, check “Enable I/O Debug Log” and then “Show the Debug Log”. 3. Run the test to capture the log and then in the DebugLogDialog window, click one of the “Save Log” buttons. 4. The default location for the log is C:\Program Files (x86)\ETS-Lindgren\EMQuest\Logs. 5. The default format is a CSV with the current date/time stamp.

What Info / files are needed for software support to help you most efficiently 1. Serial number of your EMQuest license 2. Contact information 3. Details on the question or problem, including any steps necessary to reproduce the issue. 4. A log capture of the test and/or any Exception message(s) 5. Relevant parameter files used when the problem occurred 6. Resulting data files associated with the issue.
